Work Zone Safety Equipment Packages

In 2003, the Colorado LTAP received a safety grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation's 402 Roadway Safety Program. Some of the grant was used to offer four work zone traffic control and flagger certification workshops in April. Colorado LTAP was also able to purchase five roadway safety equipment packages with these funds. Transportation agencies located in the south half of the state and serving populations of less than 5,000 people were invited to apply.

Congratulations to the following agencies for being chosen to receive one of the work zone packages
in 2003:

  • Logan County

  • Yuma County

  • Town of Bethune

  • Town of Seibert

  • Town of Monument

The following is a list of equipment included in each safety equipment package:

  • (30) Reflective cones w/ collars

  • (10) Snap-on cone signs

  • (2) 48" Break-away plastic barricade

  • (3) 24" Folding barricade w/ steel legs

  • (4) Stop/slow paddles

  • (2) 8' plastic barricade plank

  • (4) Orange reflective vests

  • (4) Orange hard hats

  • (2) 48" rollup signs

  • (2) 48" rollup sign bases

  • (4) Safety glasses

  • (8) Replacement glass lenses

  • (1) 24" x 24" Red flag w/ 32" dowell
