Program Topics
This class introduces methods for implementing effective, low cost safety improvements targeted at high crash areas. It emphasizes the basic and enhanced application of traffic control devices, low cost safety improvements, and their specific safety benefit. Emphasis is placed on low cost solutions that may be made at the local level.

Instructor
Mark Hood is a Senior Traffic Safety Engineer for Pennoni Associates Inc. and the Pennsylvania LTAP Program. He has over 16 years of experience at the technical and managerial levels in the safety, traffic engineering, and technology transfer fields serving federal, state, municipal, and private clients throughout the country. Mr. Hood has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Swarthmore College, and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University.

Cancellation Policy
Please be considerate of those on the waiting list and cancel early if necessary. A full refund will be made if you cancel no later than 3 business days prior to the training day; otherwise, you will forfeit the registration fee. Someone may substitute for you and sign in during on-site registration.

Registration Fee
The registration fee is $45.00 per person. The fee includes lunch and materials. Invoices will be sent upon receipt of registration form. Additional confirmations are not sent unless requested on the form. Invoices can be paid by cash, check, money order, or credit card. Payment does not have to be received prior to the training date.

Special Notes
In order to receive Roads Scholar credit for this class, participants must stay until the end of class when it is dismissed by the instructor.
