What’s New in the Library?

All videos, publications and CDs in the LTAP lending library are available for checkout for a two-week period, free of charge. To check out materials or request a library catalogue, contact the Colorado LTAP office at 1-888-848-5827. Library materials can also be ordered online through our website.

New CDs

CD APMFG Asphalt Pavement Maintenance
This is the CD-rom version of the previously released Asphalt Maintenance Field Guide. This CD was produced by the Minnesota LTAP to ease the reproduction procedures of the field guide and comes with a complete list of instructions and tips on how to customize the guide for your specific agency and special needs. Ask for printed information to be attached.

This training program provides essential information to utility workers working near traffic, close to open lanes, or beyond the shoulder. It has been developed to provide information on standards and procedures, which apply to utility operations.

These specifications cover the minimum design requirements for structural supports for highway signs, luminaires, and traffic signals, necessary to provide for public safety. 2002 Interim revisions are also included.
 
50 GEMH A Guide for Erecting Mailboxes on Highways
This publication provides guidelines for the design and location of mailbox installations. Highway safety is the primary reason for a highway agency’s becoming involved with mailboxes, which, in some areas, are often the only fixed objects close to the road.

Creosote has a long history of use as a preservative, particularly in industrial wood products. As a result of concerns about potential effects on aquatic and terrestrial non-target organisms, a study was conducted to investigate the leaching of creosote using simulated river flow rate and temperature.

This guide was developed from a review of all of the State Highway Department construction specifications for construction other than bridges. The guide specification is subdivided into Description, Materials, Construction Requirements, Method of Measurement, and Basis of Payment. CD included.
